Lucinda Loya is a woman known for her innovation, impeccable style, tasteful designs, and great passion for the arts and philanthropy.

As principal of Lucinda Loya Interiors, she has built a name for herself from the ground-up.  The internationally-published, award-winning firm is led by her inspired vision and originality. Headquartered in Houston, Texas, it has become one of the most sought-after design firms due to her unique talent and exuberant attitude.  Lucinda has cultivated her ability to think “out of the box”-- and this attitude is the foundation of her project development approach. By welcoming character through clever finishes, art, and antiques, she applies her own twist to a classic style to create rooms that take on personality.

With a flair of her own and a confidence to match, Lucinda has extraordinary taste when it comes to her craft, staying sensible yet enthusiastic when working with clients.  Always on the cutting edge, she can unite budget-conscious pieces with high-end art, creating a poetic symphony. Lucinda’s playful sense of humor benefits well in decorating as it adds charm and individuality to the composition, even in the smallest, most unexpected places. Her level of sophistication is second-to-none and her dazzle is invigorating.

In both residential and commercial projects, Lucinda’s work showcases the belief that art and design are something to be experienced, not just admired. Lucinda’s trademark “eclectic” high-end style has graced the covers of the world’s foremost design and décor publications, such as AD Style, Marie Claire, House Beautiful, Interiors Magazine, The NY Post, Better Homes Magazine, New York Cottages and Gardens, The Wall Street Journal, The NY Times, and many others.

LLI designs can also be found in internationally-published books: Rizzoli: On Style by Carl Dellatore, TeNeues Interior Design Review: Best Interior Design on the Planet, and an unprecedented three projects including the back-cover feature in INTERIORS: Europe & The Americas by Roberto Begnini. In addition to print features, Lucinda’s spaces have been featured on hit TV shows such as CBS's Living Large, Law and Order, and CSI, as well as HGTV's Selling NY, all showcasing her work from coast to coast.

Lucinda has participated in speaking panels hosted by NY Now, the Boston International Fine Art Show, and New York’s D&D Building’s program, “Where is Design Headed?” In 2019, she was honored to participate in creating a dining vignette at DIFFA’s Dining by Design in New York City.  Design work for show homes include 2013’s Nantucket Showcase Home, the 10th annual New York Holiday House, and the 2020 House Beautiful Whole Home concept House in Colorado.

Lucinda’s project portfolio includes private homes in the prestigious River Oaks District of Houston, the Boston Celtics Training Facility, a Falcon 2000 private jet, a Mayfair flat in London, a sprawling Texas Ranch, NYC penthouses, and more. From wallpapered ceilings to lacquered walls, Loya’s projects are guaranteed creative statement-makers.

Her passion in design is matched only by her philanthropic and generous spirit.  As a wife and mother of two, she is an esteemed innovator and role model. Lucinda has contributed both hands-on and as advisory support to over 15 non-profit organizations ranging from the arts to child advocacy.  Known as one of Houston’s top trendsetters, she has been honored on lists such as America’s Most Notable Party Hosts, Houston’s 25 Most Beautiful People, Vogue 100, and “Hall of Fame” status on the Houston Chronicle’s Best Dressed List. Lucinda’s eye for style transcends both fashion and home décor.
