Designed for a young family with an appreciation for historically influenced design, the space balances refined aesthetics with everyday livability.

The design begins with dramatic Rose Bay Cambria quartz slabs, whose striking black-and-white contrast establishes the kitchen’s graphic foundation. Paired with warm brushed brass hardware, the material palette creates a sophisticated yet durable environment perfectly suited to the daily rhythm of family life.

To add texture and dimension, the walls are wrapped in Nobilis wallpaper with subtle mother-of-pearl accents that softly catch the light and complement the chartreuse, black, and white palette. Overhead, a trio of Fisk pendants by Arteriors introduces clean geometry and a warm ambient glow, adding movement and sculptural interest to the space.

The existing bay window was reimagined as a clean-lined, family-friendly custom banquette, creating an inviting gathering spot for casual meals and conversation. Anchoring the cooking area is a dramatic custom brass and stainless-steel vent hood, so substantial it required four installers to position it in place. Its exceptional weight and craftsmanship make it a true design feat, one that, we are told, will likely never be produced again.

The final layer introduces personality and wit through a bold artwork by Plastik, which cleverly blends a nod to Marie Antoinette with the family’s beloved Nutella. The piece adds humor and warmth, ensuring the kitchen feels as personal as it is visually striking.
